The Sanford Stadium renovation project at the University of Georgia was executed in two phases to transform the historic venue to enhance the spectator experience. Phase 1 included concourse extensions, grab-and-go concession areas, and new, more spacious restrooms, including family bathrooms. Phase 2 focused on premium upgrades, such as the 1929 Club—a luxurious area named in honor of the stadium’s construction year—350-level suites, new restrooms, and the state-of-the-art Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium Press Box.
ISEC provided and installed Georgia Granite and Georgia Marble stonework, custom woodwork, stone, glass, and decorative metals. These elements brought elegance and functionality to key areas, including countertops, drink rails, and the 1929 Club and private suites. One of the team’s notable achievements was overcoming the challenge of designing and implementing undermounted lights for the millwork, which created a glowing effect—a key design intent that added warmth and sophistication to the space. The UGA Bulldog Red Glass was another highlight that required precise cutout coordination and rapid execution just two weeks before the stadium reopened.
Reflecting on the project, a team member shared the excitement of seeing the football team practice during their work. They also emphasized the craftsmanship involved in the Club area’s focal points, such as the mirrors, shelving, and decorative features, which combined to create a visually stunning experience for supporters. Completed in time for the 2024–2025 football season, the Sanford Stadium improvements exemplify ISEC’s ability to meet ambitious timelines and deliver exceptional results.
