UCSD Marine Conservation And Technology Facility Renovation And Addition

The existing concrete structure was renovated, and a new addition built for laboratory and assembly spaces that included food preparation and service on site. Mild chemicals and fume hoods will be used in the wet labs at Building-D, for the purpose of preparing and microscopically analyzing marine specimens and their environment. The underground level will also serve as a vivarium with research aquariums for marine organisms. The newly constructed level-03 is a “cold shell” with a kitchen to be developed as a future tenant improvement.
