Tucson, AZ

Pima County Medical Examiner

Our team was responsible for the installation of specialized lab and autopsy equipment throughout the building, including six autopsy stations, observation gallery furnishings, cold storage solutions to accommodate up to 300 decedents, and an expansive office area for 13 investigators.

The facility was built with functionality and safety in mind. ISEC’s scope ensured these areas were equipped with the appropriate furnishings and fixtures to enhance workflow and support the sensitive nature of the work conducted on-site.

Beyond the autopsy suites, additional areas for public interaction and education were designed such as a memorial courtyard with a columbarium, teaching rooms, and a private space for families to identify loved ones. The building also houses two retorts—one dedicated to human remains and the other to animals from the Pima Animal Care Center.
