ISEC coordinated the engineering, manufacturing, and installation of over 37,000 s.f. of Makore veneer paneling for the Grand Wall, a 360’ long and 60’ high structure, and Ballroom for this 2.3 mill. s.f. facility, covering six city blocks on 17 acres. The new facility features 750,000 square feet of exhibition space, 70 meeting rooms, the largest ballroom on the east coast, and dramatic concourses, atriums, and lobbies, designed to raise the bar for amenities and finishes in major convention centers around the country. This project received the Architectural Woodwork Institute’s (AWI) Award of Excellence and the Washington Building Congress' Craftsmanship Award.
