Intern Programs

ISEC’s internship program is designed to provide college students, primarily in construction management programs, the opportunity to supplement their education through practical work experience; provide wage income to interns to assist in furthering their education; fulfill ISEC manpower needs on a short-term basis and provide the potential for longer-term future employment relationships; and to provide interns and ISEC with the opportunities to evaluate each other for future regular employment.

In general, an ISEC intern is a student in Construction Management who has completed at least two years of an accredited four year program. Upon acceptance to the program, interns may be assigned to one or more of the following positions based upon their interests and ISEC’s needs:

  • Sales Intern: Assigned to the Sales Department with responsibilities that may include assisting in the identification and tracking of potential opportunities for ISEC, in the preparation of sales and collateral material, bid information and other data and materials necessary for a sales presentation, and in the internal and external documentation of sales.

  • Pre-Construction Services Intern: Assigned to the Preconstruction Department with responsibilities that may include Engineering, Estimating, and Purchasing.

  • Project Management Intern: Assigned to the Operations Department with responsibilities that include assisting Project Managers and/or Project Coordinators with site work to include following up on installation, material, inventory and other site activities, and with office work to include maintaining and updating files, spreadsheets and correspondence and similar activities.

  • Installation Intern: Assigned to the Installation function within the Operations Department with responsibilities that include acting as an Installer or assisting Installers in the tracking and dispatching of Installation staff and materials.
